Yoga & Wellbeing - Weekly Sessions

 

 
 

My Yoga/Wellbeing “drop in” and stay sessions  each Monday 10.30am – 12.15pm at Whinney Banks Youth and Community Centre, Harehills Road, Whinney Banks, Middlesbrough. 

This session is open to all – a good way to become aquainted with the many practical  aspects of Yoga. It is suitable for all capabilities - from beginners to experienced.

Pay at each session. £3.50. Bring exercise mat, cushion and towel.  

The 8 tenets of Yoga (simply put) :-

1. Your considerate behaviour to all around you and towards the enviroment. 

2. Your considerate behaviour and care of self, including bodily and mental hygiene. 

3. Moving the physical body – gentle stretching/exercise. 

4. Breathing – quality and observance.

5. Quietness – personal and centred.  

6. Focusing – coming home to your authentic self.  

7. Contemplation – pause for thought. 

8. Relaxation – happy inner life/freedom.
